The medieval winged spearhead (also known as a lugged spear) was a classic design which has its origins in the Frankish warriors of Charlemagne and its time-tested design was used extensively by Viking warriors. The long blade with its central ridge gives it powerful penetrative power and the side-mounted lugs give the use the ability to parry other weapons and to prevent over-penetration in a strike.

This replica is crafted from high carbon steel and its socketed head is ready to be mounted onto your own tapered wooden haft. Two pre-drilled holes allow for it to be screwed into place and secured. Screws are not included.
